The EPS is holding a series of free online educational events to mark Stress Awareness Month during April.

Stress: Spotting the signs and building resilience
Speaker: Elain Crew
This event is exclusive to EPS members We will be joined by Elain Crew of Wellbeing4Life who will deliver a workshop on stress and resilience. Founded in 2014 Wellbeing4Life provide wellbeing services for organisations and individuals. In this one-hour webinar we will identify the signs of stress and provide you with strategies to manage stress and put you back in the driving seat. We will also look at how to build resilience; whilst we cannot eliminate stress completely, there are strategies we can use to stop stress from overwhelming.

How Stress Can Impact Zero Responders and Volunteers
Speaker: Dr Chris Cocking
Open to EPS Members and non-members
This event will be led by EPS member, Dr Chris Cocking, who will explore how stress can impact Zero Responders and volunteers. This event is open to EPS members and non members. It will be of particular interest to wider voluntary organisations such as the RNLI, RVS, British Red Cross and St John’s Ambulance.
Dr Chris Cocking is a Principal Lecturer at the University of Brighton, with an interest in crowd behaviour during emergencies and post disaster psycho-social support. Chris has worked in the crowd management sector, consulting at large events in the South East of England. He also advises on emergency planning, and has been a visiting speaker at the Cabinet Office Emergency Planning College.

Stress at an institutational level
Speaker: Dr Chris Cocking

Dr Chris Cocking will explore managing stress at an institutional level, looking at what organisations can do to manage chronic stress in the workplace. The talk will be of interest to resilience managers and leaders as well as a safe space for members to share ideas. This event is open to EPS members only.
