Progression to Member status can be achieved by completing the membership upgrade scheme. Members are entitled to full voting rights and are eligible to stand for office at both Branch and national levels. Members are entitled to the post-nominal of M.E.P.S (Member of the Emergency Planning Society).

Member: Direct Entry and Process
For any new applicant an Application to Join/Upgrade to Full Member will required to be completed and submitted as normal to EPS HQ for distribution to the Assessment Team Members for their evaluation and scoring. This facilitates direct access to FULL Member is possible, if an individual fulfils the criteria and scores appropriately.
For a Direct entrant at this level, will have the receipt of their application acknowledged and be provided with a Temporary Membership Number, that will be confirmed following successful assessment.
The nominated Branch Executive of the new applicant will be informed when the process is completed and the level attained by the applicant. The Applicant will receive a Welcome Letter and dates, where available of Branch Meetings etc.
