Republic of Ireland
The Republic of Ireland branch was formed in 2002. It has in excess of 100 members that come from a variety of backgrounds in both the public and private sectors.
Members come from the following areas: Ambulance, Business Continuity, Civil Defence, Coastguard, Communications, Consultancy, Electricity, Financial Services, Fire, Food, Garda, Health, Industry, IT, Legal, Local Authorities, Media, Pharmaceutical and Chemical companies, Public Relations, State and Semi-State Agencies, Training, Transport and Voluntary Agencies.
The branch holds quarterly meetings dealing with appropriate topics. These meetings provide an opportunity for members to meet and the topics are chosen to provide something of interest to members from all areas of activity.
In addition the branch organises occasional Seminars and Conferences. As well as meetings in Dublin, Cork and Shannon have already been venues and it is planned to have further meetings around the country.
There is a close working relationship with the Northern Ireland branch and there is a joint meeting every year.
