Our International Branch is aimed at those in the field of resilience who live and/or work in another country.
East Midlands
The East Midlands Branch covers the six counties of Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Derbyshire, Northamptonshire, Lincolnshire and Rutland.
Eastern
The Eastern Branch covers the counties of Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk.
London
London is the United Kingdoms capital and largest city with a population of over 7.5 million.
North Western
Welcome to the North West Regional Branch Pages. News and events from the North West Region are posted here on a regular basis.
Northern
The Northern Branch of the Emergency Planning Society serves Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, County Durham, Darlington and Teesside.
Northern Ireland
Welcome to the Northern Ireland branch of the Emergency Planning Society. Our mission is to promote all aspects of emergency planning in Northern Ireland.
Republic of Ireland
The Republic of Ireland branch was formed in 2002. It has in excess of 100 members that come from a variety of backgrounds in both the public and private sectors.
Scottish
Welcome to the Scottish Branch section of the Emergency Planning Society website.
South Eastern
The South East Branch covers the geographical areas bounded by the Counties of East and West Sussex, Kent and Surrey.
South Western
The South West Branch includes the area from Gloucester to Bournemouth, from Swindon to the Isles of Scilly.
Southern
Covering the county areas of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight and Oxfordshire.
Welsh
Welcome to the Welsh Branch of the EPS. We have members from all corners of Wales from many different organisations and backgrounds. The branch strives to meet regularly and endeavours to be inclusive to all members across the nation.
West Midlands
The branch covers the areas of Shropshire, Staffordshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire and the West Midlands, which incorporates county, unitary, metropolitan and district authorities.
Yorkshire & The Humber
We are well represented on a number of Professional Issues Groups, with a broad spectrum of expertise including Crowd Safety, COMAH/Pipelines, Health & Environment, Local Authority, Media, Nuclear Issues and Transport Groups, CPD and Business Continuity.

East Midlands Branch Managing Debriefs / Techniques Workshop – May 2019
The East Midlands Branch hosted a full day workshop to develop members' formal debriefing techniques, an excellent and thought-provoking session run my Nigel Humphreys from the East Midlands Committee. The day included a series of structured group activities:
Reviewing the NOS against their own role
Completed a personal learning style questionnaire
Peer reviewed & benchmarked several debrief reports
Demonstrated use of the experiential learning cycle as a debriefing methodology
Explored the Joint Decisions Model as a debriefing model
Explored several communication styles
Reflected upon their own style / performance as a facilitator

Successful Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Seminar
The first joint Branch and Professional Working Group seminar was held at Leicestershire Police HQ on 12 July. Thirty five members and paying guests spent an informative day learning about the threat, defence measures, training and exercising plus a case study. Due to the raised profile of CBRN in UK it is hoped that the CBRN PWG will work with other branches to develop learning. Andy McCombe, Chair of the East Midlands Branch, said that it was great to see so many members from other branches making the trip to improve their knowledge and network with other members and guests.
